July 31, 2020, The Board of Directors (BOD) of SSI Securities Corporation (Hose: SSI) officially approved the Decision of appointment of Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam as Chief Executive officer of SSI. Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung continues to hold the position of Chairman of the BOD and is directly in charge of the Company's Strategy & Development Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam (1967), who has been working alongside with the development of Vietnam Securities Market for 20 years, is one of the Co-founders of SSI Securities Corporation, together with Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung- Chairman of Board of Directors of SSI to build and develop the Company.
During 20 years working with SSI and Vietnam Securities Market, from the very first day with many ups and downs, Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam has made significant contributions to the Company. With accumulated experiences especially in management, deep local market knowledges, as well as absolute sharing of vision and strategy, Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam will continue to inherit the foundation that SSI has built and promote its advantages and overcome difficulties in order to develop comprehensively for the Company.
This appointment is aimed at re-assigning tasks, whereby the Chairman focuses on developing long-term strategies, the Chief Executive Officer directly operates, adheres to the proposed strategies, continues to consolidate and confirming the position of leading securities company in Vietnam.
At the same time, separating the titles of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the CEO of the Company not only aims to strengthen the corporate governance according to modern standards, but is also expected to be the necessary changes to continue implementation operational strategy, focusing on promoting the development of pioneering products, accompanied by applying advanced technology in operation, bringing the best values to customers, shareholders and company employees.
Every change in organization needs to be made with solid steps. This appointment of personnel is considered a prudent pace to facilitate the next important moves in SSI's activities.
