Press Release: SSI reports its separated financial statement for 4Q2015

Saigon Securities Inc. (HOSE: SSI) reported its separated revenue and earnings for the last quarter of 2015. 4Q2015 revenue reached 382.8 billion VND and profit before tax reached 252.37 billion VND, increasing 26.10% and 240% compared to a year ago, respectively. Revenue for the full year 2015 reached 1498 billion VND and profit before taxed of 2015 was 1199.50 billion VND, representing 31.3% increase from a year ago. The Company believes that SSI can outperform its 2015 profit plan as stated at AGM in April, 2015.

Concerns over the Chinese devaluation of Yuan and the falling oil price caused lower trading liquidity in this quarter. As a result, 4Q2014 revenue from Brokerage Services was 74.87 billion VND, declining approximately 21% compared to a year ago. However, SSIst position brokerage market share in both HOSE and HNX in 2015, which was 13.07% and 9.57% respectively, and continued to be a reliable broker house for foreign investors, representing over 30% in terms of market share for foreign clients.

M&A and securities private placement activities continued to be active during the 4Q2015 as being expected by the Company at the end of 3Q2015, leading to an increase of revenue from Investment Banking team in Securities Issuance agency services and Advisory services, which was 163% compared to 4Q2014.

Principal investment revenue reported 111.04 billion VND at the end of 4Q2015 increasing 69.63% from a year ago. However, the low trading liquidity in the first half of 2015, together with the decline in revenue from principal investment in 3Q2015 causing full year principal investment revenue 25.4% lower principal investment revenue of 2015 compared to 2014. During the quarter SSI sold a part of its investment in Electronics Communications Technology Investment Development Joint Stock Company (ELC) in December 2015, consequently ELC was no longer SSI
