Authentication method

SSI currently provides 3 advanced authentication methods for customers including Smart OTP, SMS OTP and Digital Certificate

Smart OTP: An authentication method in which the OTP code is generated from the integrated SSI Smart OTP application on the SSI iBoard App

SMS OTP: An authentication method in which the OTP code generated by SSI system and sent in the form of SMS to the phone number that the customer has registered with SSI

Certificate Authentication: Certificate Authentication is a form of electronic certificate issued by a digital signature certification service-providing organization to provide identification information for the public key of an agency, organization or individual, thereby confirming the agency, organization or individual as the signer of the digital signature by using the corresponding secret key.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTERING SMART OTP ON IBOARD PRO APPLICATION

(For customers who have registered for Smart OTP in the current iBoard App)

Step 1: Log in to iBoard Pro application > On the main screen, click the "Smart OTP" icon, select “Register”

Step 2: Select I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions of using Smart OTP at SSI, then click "Agree".Customers can use the old Smart OTP PIN code set up on the current iBoard App or set up a new Smart OTP PIN code (6 digits)

Note: Activating Smart OTP on iBoard Pro application will invalidate Smart OTP previously registered on other applications.

Step 3: Choose to receive activation code via registered SMS/Email > Click Get activation code and enter the activation code sent via SMS/Email, complete registration

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTERING SMART OTP ON IBOARD PRO APPLICATION

(For customers who have not registered for Smart OTP)

Smart OTP registration

Option 1:

Step 1: Log in to the iBoard Pro application

Step 2: At the main screen, click the "Smart OTP" icon, then select “Register”

Step 3: Tick on the box “I have read and accept the SSI smart OTP Terms & Conditions”, then click Agree. Next, set up the Smart OTP Pin code. 6-digit Smart OTP Pin Code.

Note: Activating Smart OTP on iBoard will revoke previous registrations on any other devices or apps

Step 4: Receive and enter activation code. Enter the Smart OTP activation code sent via SMS/Email of customers.

Step 5: Successfully registered Smart OTP, customers can choose to register FaceID/Touch ID to use Smart OTP or click Home to use other functions of the application.

Option 2:

Step 1: Customers log in to the iBoard Pro application

Step 2: At the Settings screen of application, Select “Security”

Step 3: Select “Two-factor authentication” 

Step 4: Select “Smart OTP”, click register and do the same Option 1

Proactively get Smart OTP code

•Customers click on the button “Get Smart OTP” at Log in screen. Or:
•Customers go to Settings > Security > Smart OTP => Account management

Step 1: Smart OTP login. Customers enter the Smart OTP PIN set up.

Step 2: Get Smart OTP code

Get Smart OTP when making trans

Step 1: Customers enter the order information, select Buy/Sell

Step 2: Enter Smart OTP PIN code

Step 3: System will auto fill OTP code, click “Submit”

Note: Save the validity of Smart OTP for the selected period of time

Additional account to integrate Smart OTP

Step 1: Customers log in to the application, Select Settings > Security > Smart OTP

Step 2: Enter Smart OTP pin code > Account management

Step 3: Click “Add”, then enter the account information that you want to integrate Smart OTP 

Step 4: Proceed with the steps like registering for Smart OTP for the first time. Once done, the account management screen will display information on all integrated accounts.

Step 5:  In case the customers want to get OTP code of any account, customers click on that account.

SMS OTP RIGISTRATION

Step 1: Log in to the iBoard Pro application > At the left corner of menu choose “Security”

Step 2: Choose a 2-factor authentication method: SMS OTP

Step 3: Click “Agree” to confirm the request to switch authentication method to SMS OTP

Step 4: Enter the account's transaction PIN or its current authentication type

Step 5: Enter the verification code sent to your phone number  

USE SMS OTP FOR TRADING

Step 1: Make trades/ orders on the application

Step 2: Check the SMS to receive the OTP sent> Enter the OTP to authenticate and complete the transaction
